Interlocking foam tiles are cheap for a reason. The seams collect crumbs, the edges lift, and a determined toddler works out how to prise them apart and chew a corner. Then you are back to a hard floor with a baby learning to walk on it.
This is one continuous play mat instead. Three metres by 1.1 metres, 1.8cm thick, rolled rather than tiled, so there is nothing to come apart. It can be cut down to fit an awkward floor, and it wipes clean.

Materials and certification
This is a layered mat rather than a single material. Ggumbi describes the build as a reinforced surface film, a PVC cushioning layer, a non-adhesive fold, dual structure PE foam, and a non-slip film on the underside.
Ggumbi Co., Ltd., who manufacture the mat in Korea, state that the materials are BPA free.
We name the layers plainly, including the PVC, rather than describing the whole mat by its foam. If the exact composition matters to you, ask and we will put the question to the manufacturer.

Assembly and care
Unroll it and leave it flat for a day. Rolled mats hold a memory of the roll and settle out on their own. Lay it on a clean, dry floor so the non-slip film has something to grip.
To cut it to size, mark the line on the underside, use a straight edge and a sharp blade, and take two or three passes rather than trying to go through in one. Once you cut it we cannot take it back, so measure twice.
Wipe with a damp cloth and dry it. Do not use solvents or abrasive pads on the surface film, since that is the layer doing the waterproofing.
